IRQ's how can they be changed

I have run fresh diagnose and found that there are two devices that share IRQ's with the USB controller. I understand this can cause 'USB lockups'. I am running windows ME on a p2 333 system. The mother board is a 440BX.
How many IRQ's can you have? At the minute there appear to be 16 ie 0 to 15.

I think that there is only 16 total, some hardware is happy to share IRQ's.If your puter is working,I wouldn't recommend that you change IRQ's as it will quite possibly cause more probs.

Windows allocates IRQs automatically so you shouldn't experience problems or conflicts.

If you check each device's Properties in Device Manager under the Resources tab, Windows will indicate the IRQ used and if there are any conflicts.
