Me again ref my DVD playback probs. Wiped the hard drive. Play a DVD or audio CD and there are no problems at all. Install the NTL Broadband USB drivers to connect me to the net and I get the playback probs. Below is the IRQ summary for my PC

- Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard
- Programmable interrupt controller
- Communications Port (COM2)
- Communications Port (COM1)
- Crystal SoundFusion(tm) Game Device
- Standard Floppy Disk Controller
- Printer Port (LPT1)
- System CMOS/real time clock
- IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
- Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
- Crystal Soundfusion(tm) PCI Audio Accelerator
- IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
- Modem Master 9250
- Inno3D GeForce4 MX 440/MX 440SE
- PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port
- Numeric data processor

- Intel 82731AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller

From my limited knowledge, there's a conflict between the sound and the USB driver. How can I resolve this?

One way would be to get a network interface card (about £10.00 from PC World) and remove the NTL USB drivers, connecting via the NIC instead.
