Will iPOD connect to WinME via a USB1 port and if so is the speed of data transfer acceptable?

excuse me for hijacking your thread, but is there a version of itunes that works with ME?
I have itunes on my laptop but this is only for XP.

I think the ipod works with USB1 but it will take forever to transfer files. In fact, the retailer will often check that you have usb2 or a firewire before selling coz people can't live with the slow trasnfer speed. For exmaple, check with John lewis. Or better still check the prcie of gettign a firewire installed.

Downnload itunes for windows at apple itunes website. click here
But I notice it only shows for XP and 2000.

I know it has nothing to do with ME, but I use Ephpod on my laptop to transfere to the Ipod using USB1 & transfere rate is excellent (15-30 secs an album)

click here however has had problems recently with hackers
