I am considering buying a 6Gb second gen. iPod mini, however I read that I cant charge it through USB1 and will have to purchase a seperate transformer. This is about £19. Is it possible to get some kind of PCI USB2 card for my existing machine. My spec is as follows:

Athlon 750, 128Mb RAM, Win XP (SP1)

Thanks :-)

and i just slot it in the back right? There wont be any software of hardware conflicts. Ive read something about winxp sp1 not including the native drivers for usb2 or something?

You insert the card into a spare pci slot, and you won't have any conflicts, all drivers are supplied with the card but you won't need them for xp

would this model be suitable?

perfectly suitable, although it's used, you'd pick up a new one for the same price from a local store
