I'm trying to run ipconfig from the cmd prompt. The box stays open but all I get is;
'Windows IP Configuration'
With no details. I'm running Windows XP Home. I also have a problem with this laptop having problem recognising and using wifi. Could this be related?

tried both versions ipconfig and ipconfig/all - no joy. it get's the same result. Another article suggested a problem with a path. I tried the suggested answer but again no joy.
