IPAQ & Netsky

Getting my monies worth tonight, second post in five mins.

One of my Directors has an IPAQ and whenever he syncs it to his desktop, the Norton Client Security quarantines the netsky worm.

I was under the impression that IPAQ couldnt be infected but am wondering if it could be a host.

Looking into Norton AV for PDAs but cant see if the removal tool available scans the pda, could even be barking up the wrong tree completely!

Any thoughts on this?
Cheers

you can get NAV to scan a particular folder by double clicking the icon in your task bar, select 'scan for viruses' and click 'new'. This will open the scan wizard. From here click 'add folders' then find PocketPC documents. Mine are hidden in My documents. Click next then name the scan as IPAQ or whatever and click finish. This will put the IPAQ scan in the NAV window where you can double click and scan your IPAQ.

Hope this helps.

I hadnt thought of that one. I guess the scan will look at the mobile device but the official removal tool wont now will it, the tools dont allow you to specify where they look.

Cheers
Will try that tomorrow.

Just interested to see if you have sorted out your netsky problem on your ipaq.

Its always useful to know whats happened in case I/anyone have/has a similar problem in the future.
