IP address conflict

  Cal 15:11 31 Mar 05

Win XP.

Running a desktop via ethernet cable and laptop wirelessly to Netgear dg834g modem router.

I've been getting the 'IP address conflict with another system on the network' whenever the laptop connects whilst the desktop is already connected.

I've checked the IP addresses and these do appear to be different for each computer so why the conflict?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Try using a different channel for the wireless part of the system.
