ip address

I need the ip address of my second computer to configure Norton on the first machine to allow networking. When putting ipconfig in the Run box the black panel of ipconfig appears and promptly disappears.
I have to disable Norton to enable access...a dangerous game!
Would appreciate getting a fix.
