I have an iomega USB HDD that I want to use as a filing cabinet. I need to be able to secure the drive contents via a password and plug into various operating systems, mainly XP pro and Win2000! Any ideas?

click here - this is good - it will create sections on your disk which are only visible when you launch the program. The only problem being that you need to install the program on each PC into which you will connect the hdd.

Thanks Diodorus,
Will tell you how I get on.

Froggie - Can you tell me how you find your Iomega drive? I believe that it works solely off the USB socket. Has this proved any problem without a sepaarte power supply? What size drive do you have and does the Iomega come with any backup software?
