i/o shield

Building my computer I omitted to check the back panel on the case and now find I cannot get to some of the ports because the ports are blocked, such as usb,lan and sound ports. The shield also does not look like the one supplied by the motherboard suppliers. How do I go about removing the case shield and inserting the motherboard shield. Please help. Thanks

you must remove the motherboard from your pc. the aluminium cut out piece giving access to ports, usb etc simply pushes in from outside the case.

the aluminium piece which may have come with the case will not necessarilly have the cutouts in the correct places to suit the new motherboard.

If so you may just have to leave it out.

Hi Alnwrd

Thank you. I reinstalled mobo and can now see all the ports.
