Invisable I tell ya

Normally something like this wouldnt be a problem but ive started using XP now and perhaps that would explain what im going through.

Im attempting to upgrade to the newest version of MSN messenger, the update wont install because it cannot operate while another windows program is running. However with MSN and IE closed I run no other MSN applications, I cannot detect whether or not outlook or any other MSN program is on because they do not appear in the Task manger's taskbar, I also cannot see them in the list of program names. Is a MSN application hiding anywhere on my PC?

You could try Trillian click here or Odigo click here , both support MSN

Use TRILLIAN every time - connects to multiple messenger clients in one go and is excellent piece of software. I'm not affiliated to them, just a happy user!

I would recommend uninstalling messenger ONCE you have got Trillian or another working with MSN, more pain than its worth.
