invalid boot.ini file

Hiya Forum. I'm getting the startup message "Invalid boot.ini file", followed by "booting from windows". I can't find any other problems though. This System boots from Windows XP Home. Is there an MBR problem? Thanks

Thanks for the link ventanas. This seems to have worked, and has eliminated the error message. I had a couple of problems using this, including a stop error screen. This disappeared after I reduced the number of load identifiers (2)to 1 but I still seem to have two installation options on start up - both the same XP edition. I remember re-installing windows once upon a time, perhaps this is why. Is it possible to delete one of the entries using the Recovery console?
