Invalid BOOT INI FILE

on BOOT-UP screen shows:

INVALID BOOT INI FILE
Booting from C:\Windows

On srart-up error message window

Error loading
C:\Windows\System32\NvCpl.dll
A dynamic link library(DLL)
initialisation routine failed

System Restore does't work
and only 4bit display(unable to alter
in conrtol panel

NvCpl.dll is related to your graphics card drivers, take a look at this link it should solve your problem.

Have you done a virus scan?

You could also go to the Recovery Console and use the Boofdfg command to repair the Boot.ini file.

cured the NvCpl.dll problem at
start-up.

Did virus scan Stuartli result clear.
Alan227 has resolved the graphics problem
at start screen,but I am still being told
that there is an invalid boot ini file.

The easiest thing (I'm presuming you have XP as you mention System Restore) is to go to Help and Support and key in Recovery Console in the Index.

This will guide you on the correct steps - you will also find a link to Boofdfg in the left hand index about half way down.
