invalid argument to date encode???!???!

hi, i've recently bought an artec t1 usb tv device....the picture and sound work fine for seconds before a warning comes up
"invalid argument to date encode" it comes up over and over until i simply have to exit the program.

any idea what's going on and how i might fix it?

for some unknown reason it's stopped, thanks for the advice though. if it goes wrong again i'll try it

it went wrong again so i rolled back the driver. i was using 2.1.7 but now using 2.0.9 and all seems fine.
