Introducing wireless laptop to a wired network

At home I have 2 pc's [both running XP Home] which are networked by cables via a Linksys router. This router also provides access to the internet - ntl broadband.
We now have a laptop [running XP Pro] which can gain wireless access to the internet via the router. However I am not yet able to access the home network pc's from the laptop.
When I use the XP network wizards to create or modify a home network, the only hardware option I am given to access the home network is by the wired network card in the laptop - no wireless option...
Any advice?
Thanks.

Do you have to enable wireless on your laptop?Such as a button(Fn+F?)

Is your router a wireless one?

Yes it is a wireless router, and it works because that is how I get access to the internet. Also the wireless connection is enabled when I am trying to access the existing network.

and get a good fireware software such as Zonealarm

Further to TomJerry's suggestion, try temporarily disabling any other firewall you have installed (Norton, McAfee etc). You may then need to manually configure the firewall to include your network.
