How is a intranet address created please?

  Diodorus Siculus 09:06 05 Jan 06

In what context?

Diodorus Siculus,Were you sitting there waiting for me to ask a question? :-)) I mean, a response in one minute!!!

I have just installed the Apache Server(I think), when I go on line and type the address, a window appears which tells me that Apache has been installed correctly on my PC.

And that is that, I cannot see how I get to the command line, but while reading a text folder, I see that I need to alter the address to that of my Intranet address if I want to keep the site private.

Apart from the main problem, no command line, I wondered about the Intranet address?

As you can see, at the moment I have not a clue as to what I am doing :-)))

  recap 09:48 05 Jan 06

"An intranet is a restricted-access network that works like the Web, but isn't on it. Usually owned and managed by a company, an intranet enables a company to share its resources with its employees without confidential information being made available to everyone with Internet access"

The same applies if you have a network of computers in your own home.
