This about:config entry from Firefox should in theory be able to hide the keyboard shortcuts from the menu entries, but I can't find out what value I need to use.

By default, it has no value, so it's kind of difficult to guess - I have tried false and 0. The MozillaZine wiki has a brief description in the main article (click here) but no dedicated page for this entry.

Anyone know?

Setting `true` worked after restarting Firefox (v3.03) for me, similarly replacing it with `false` and restarting Fx removed the shortcuts.

All that it did for me was to add single letters in parentheses after each heading - annoying and not what I wanted to achieve.

I posted on the Mozilla forum this evening and got the answer, though. It just needs a new declaration in userChrome.css
