Internet traffic activity

There are times when Zonealarm is indicating internet traffc to and/or from my computer when I am not aware why. Is there a way to interrogate the traffic to identify if it is legitimate background activity or something to be concerned about?

ZoneAlarm lists all access attempts, select "Alerts and Logs/Log viewer", and you can scroll down the list to see where the contact attempts originate. You will find that the majority are from your ISP, who is just checking that your'e still there, and are nothing to worry about. There will be some strangers who are scanning to find a vulnerable computer, but as long as you have ZoneAlarm set for full stealth mode they will never know that there was a computer at your address, so you are safe.
