Hi,

I'll soon be moving to the U.K. but will have no television. I want to watch t.v. on my computer. As i'm not familiar with Internet t.v., i was wandering how does it works.
I was particularly interested into channels like 'The Discovery channel', 'The travel channel', etc...When i search on the net, i can't find the way to get a package of my favorite channels on my computer.
Is there a place where i could subscribe for only a couple of channels ??
I know that i'll need a t.v. card for my computer. How does it work in the U.K., does the cable t.v. provider can also provide the internet ?
Can you get those American channels in the U.K. ?

Thanks for your time, i appreciate !

Matthieu

You will need to buy a PCI TV card for satellite rather than digital or analogue channels and a subscription to Sky either direct or through a cable company such as Ntl or Telewest (if your area is cabled).

See:

Cable companies can provide internet and phone services as well.
