internet problems

  fonkets 20:56 15 Jun 09

Hi. I'm having severe problems with map websites. Google, Streetmap, Multimap etc just seize on my screen. The data light on my modem stops flashing. And my internet runs real slow after visiting these sites unless I close down IE and wait a couple of mins. I have Virgin 10meg broadband and a webstar modem.

Do I need any add-ons?

regards and gratitude for life for anyone that can solve my prob.

Maybe you need to update your Java what version are you currently running?

It wouldn't make any difference.

interested to know what are your system specs, integrated graphics or gr card? An old pc I used to have (low spec) freaked out if I went on to a site with "too much" graphics.

I have an Atlon 64+ dual core 3600, 1mb ram, Nvidia Geforce 7050.

I have just removed Google Earth (the newest version) because too many processes at start up where causing my computer to freeze. I only have .512 Mbs RAM, not enough for all that action at start up! I notice you have 1mb but is it enough for for what you are trying to do?

I have 350mb free when I turn on streetmap etc.
