Internet mail account changing POP3 address automa

I use freeserve and have two mail accounts. The server information is POP3 and the incoming mail address is pop.freeserve.co.uk however every time I log on, the incoming mail address is changed to 'localhost' and my accounts name is changed to include '/pop.freeserve.co.uk'

This is a nuisance as it means that every time I log on I have to amend the account details before I can get my mail.

Can anyone help me to amend this so that my address remains the same?

Do you have Norton or another antivirus program scanning incoming mail? If so, that could be the cause.

Another possitiblity is that some program is using a local mailserver to access mail somehow.

If your antivirus prog is PCCILLIN then this is what is causing your problem, if so disable pop3 scan or go to the web site for PCCILLIN and the fix is on there.
