Internet Log On Box Keeps Popping Up

Since I updated my anti virus software (McAfee) my Internet Log On box keeps popping up when I'm not on line. It will pop up at random time intervales but always within a ten minute time frame. I can choose to turn it off and manually dial in but this is a hassle.

Do you know what could be causing it to pop up for no apparent reason?

I am using Windows ME.

In Outlook Express click on Tools then Options. On the General tab under Send/Receive messages - "if my computer is not connected at this time" choose "do not connect".

I checked that option and it is already as you suggest.

Any more suggestions?

If the McAfee software has caused it you need to go to the VirusScan Console and Click on AutoUpdate then properties and schedule to see when it is set to run. From my settings you could have it checking every hour if you wanted it to!
