Internet keeps disconnecting

My internet disconnects several times per day. If I turn off the router and take out the phone line for a few seconds and then turn on the router and put the phone line back in it works for a while. I am using a a Netgear DG834G V2. The problem has been going on for a while and so is not due to the current weather. Any ideas?

Probably not your problem,but i had a similer problem.I changed my ethernet cable and its been ok.Sorry i cant help further.

Are you with Sky?

I had a similar problem with my Sky V1 netgear router which kept losing it's wireless connection. I got Sky to send a (free) replacement, a DLINK model and so far have had no wireless issues at all.
