My friend wants 2 connect his xbox to the internet

But the only way he can do this is by going through the PC to get the internet

So basically i need a way to set-up the internet from


The Pc has internet(no problems there)

If he bridges the network then it says something about the IP cannot be obtains or something like that...Can someone help plz?

The best option is to use a router to connect the PC and X Box to the internet. Using a router the PC does not have to be switched on all the time. The router will assign the X Box an IP address.

sorry but the only way he can do it, is by connecting to the PC and then the xbox...the router is no where near him :<

My two sons have an Xbox and PS3, one connects direct to my router the other connects to my router via network switch and so he can use his PS3 and PC at the same time.
If your friend adds a nework switch to his pc he can the run other devices at the same time from the switch. You can get network switches from about £15 click here
