Internet filtering software & user accounts

How do I find and set up internet filtering software that allows you to select specific websites for access – a white list, and possibly works on different XP user accounts. So we can allow different websites for us, and our 6&9 yr daughters.

Any general tips gratefully received.

Thanks for this. AFAIA this seems like an enhanced black listing filter?

I'm really after a facility that will allow me to specify only particular websites allowed eg. CBBC, etc, and nothing else.

I realise this falls down/becomes to restrictive as children get older.

You can set the filtering to maximum and then add sites to an `Always allow` list - not precisely what you have in mind but close. Anything objectionable will be blocked if you do that.
