Internet Explorer/Norton's Antivirus

I am checking out a Win 98se computer at the moment that was thought to have been infected with a dialer virus. I have installed and run Adaware and Spybot on it. Got about 200 spy hits, but nothing really worrying. I have updated the operating system on the Windows website and everything is fine. I installed Nortons Antivirus 2003 and now it will dial the internet, but Explorer can't load up any pages. If I uninstall Nortons everything is fine. I thought there maybe a virus stopping it, but Nortons can't find anything and Adaware, Spybot and ZoneAlarm don't see anything. Anybody any suggestions?

Try one of the free AV programs - eg Avast or AVG.
