Internet Explorer Windows

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.
IE has an annoying habit of opening new windows as a small window only - 3 cm x 5cm whenever a new window is opened by clicking from a parent window.

As you can imagine it is a pain to have to maximise every IE window. IS there a way to get subsequent windows to open maximised?

BTW - using W98-2 and IE 6.0

Click on the link in the parent window, when the new window appears, DRAG it to the full size then minimise it to the task bar, then close the parent window with the little x in the top right corner. Bring up the New window again (the one you minimised) and close it with the x. All windows should now open fully.

Cheers MAJ - knew there had to be an easy answer.
