Internet explorer page title display

Morning all.

I have an installation of internet explorer which is behaving in a slightly strange way.

Normally I would expect the name of a page to be displayed on the top left of the browser and also on its corresponding button on the task bar.

All I am getting is the first letter of the page title which make changing between pages confusing!

I have: Unistalled 2nd version of explorer, the yahoo BT one, tried a reinstall of IE from add remove progs. It doesn't appear under the installed programs list and therefor I cannot use the repair option.

Any ideas?????

Thanks, Epirb.
