Internet explorer missing

  elas 21:03 02 May 10

I've recently formatted my hard drive and tried to reinstall Windows XP Media Centre 2005 from the original disks that came with the computer. It all worked as advertised when I did the same 2 weeks ago on my lap top, but this time it seems that internet explorer has not been installed. This causes me a problem as I cannot find a download for service pack 2 for Windows XP MC and the only way I seem to be able to update it is through the Windows update, which I can't use as I don't have internet explorer. I also can't download internet explorer 7 as I don't have service pack 2 installed!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't tried to reformat the hard drive and install again, although I have run the disks again to try and fix them problem to no avail. Thankfully I have downloded Firefox and so can connect to this website!
