when i log onto aol and type in a web page eg google or ebay or msn it comes upaction cancelled (no page to display) but if i open internet explorer all the pages are working fine.

also if i just open explorer without logging on to aol will this affect my bill or not.

no you can do this just is just a browser like internet explorer exept it can be problematic with certain sites i.e not compatable.i used to do the same, just log on with aol then minimize it and open internet explorer and use that to surf.

i can still open ie without opening aol, and this will not affect my bill ?

I assume like me,also on AOL,you pay a monthly fee,so no it will not affect your bill.

My three PC's are connected through a router so I don't need to log on to AOL at all to access the INTERNET.I do so purely to check my email.

yes i pay monthly.
also is there an easy way to setup my wireless router as i had it working perfect before i changed provider.during the install it would not pick up the old router(belkin) so i have had to install the netgear router they provided.
