after installing internet explorer 6 from the pcadvisor cd i frequently get a popup screen appearing copied below.

does anyone know how to stop this happening. is it part of internet explorer or a seperate programme?

could be just an advert on that site or messenger popup. to disable messenger go to controlpanel/administrativetools/services scroll down find messenger double click and from the drop down box select disable click ok and restart the computer to take effect.

you need to restart the computer for the setting to take effect.

Go 'Tools' > 'Internet Options..' > 'Security' and set it to high. This will stop the pop ups but will prevent you using some sites.
