Internet Explorer 6 Crashing

  jamesyt 15:30 16 Jun 04

Internet Explorer 6 keeps crashing intermittently for no apparent reason. I either get an application error message saying:

The instruction at"0x77f580db" referenced memory at "0x0000000000". The memory could not be "written".

Or IE just closes by itself. I have no idea what it is. It could be a virus or a hacker but I got AVG 6 and ZoneAlarm Pro running, no guarantee but they should protect my PC from most things.

I'm running Windows XP Home with IE 6 preinstalled.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the help. I've tried to repair it but I don't know if its fixed it yet because I've had no problems so far. I looked through the pages on the google search but theres nothing about it for Internet Explorer and no advice on how to fix it.

Thanks again Crossbow.
