I currently use IE 5 with Win 98 SE. When surfing certain sites and trying to access as link on the site (e.g. Ebuyer reviews/PC Index Suppier links), I receive the following message:

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff74347.

Any advice on what could be causing this and remedial action I could take? Would downloading IE 6 be a good idea and solve this?

You could try a repair first click here

Either get IE6 (more secure) or, even better, Mozilla Firefox (a fraction of the security issues and updates of IE); e-mail equivalent is Mozilla Thunderbird.

As Stuartli mentions, latest version recommended &/or Firefox click here, . If you decide to use Firefiox, you can continue to use Outlook Express, if preferred over Thunderbird (just don't remove IE).

You don't have to d'load v6 if on a dialup connection - any mag CD/DVD or modem driver CD, etc., will usually contain IE6. Don't forget to check for/install security updates after IE6 install click here. G
