Internet Connection Sharing

I have a Desk PC XP Home connected to internet using ISDN dial-up. It has Zonealarm installed also.

My laptop (98SE) is connected via 100Meg ethernet using a crossover cable and I can share files, backup between the two etc etc. Zonealarm installed too.

ICS is enabled on both machines but the laptop will not connect to the internet even when the Desk PC is connected. When I start IE on the laptop I just get 'The page cannot be displayed'. Doesn't matter which page I try, always the same result. Even if I disable Zonealarm on both machines, it still won't work.

Anyone any ideas why tyhe laptop cannot access the internet via ICS?

The master PC should be set for ICS,the client PC should not.

The win98 machine is trying to connect via a non existant modem instead of through the LAN, hence the message cannot be displayed.

Set the 98 machine to the "This computer comnects through a residule gateway..."
