Internet connection problem

  guesswho2 09:51 05 Sep 09

I have obviously inadvertently mucked up my computer and now have difficulty connecting.
I am with TalkTalk and use their Huawei HG520b router. I have looked in Event Viewer and see that every time I try to connect I get a DHCP error ID 1002:
The IP address lease for the Network Card with network address 00064F791BD3 has been denied by the DHCP server (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).
I have to keep unp-lugging and switching off the router and eventually get connected.
I'm running Windows XP Home, SP3.

Thanks Stuartli, I have changed the TCP MSS Option from 0 to 1392 as advised but then found that I had lost my internet connection again. Only just managed to reconnected by switching off and unplugging.
I spent a while on the phone with a TT man yesterday who assured me after running lots of checks that there's nothing wrong with the line. It's obviously caused by my amateurish modification of Services. But I can't undo whatever stupid thing I've done.
