Internet Connection

I use a "normal" internet connection with ADSL via an ISDN line using bits or wire. It's getting slower & I am looking for an upgrade.
My daughter who lives next door (about 5 metres between her telephone point and mine through 1 wall) has just installed a new internet connection and her computer is linked to the router via a wireless connection (a plug-in dongle thing). It's much faster than mine.
Can I share her connection? If so what equipment must I install? Can we both be online at the same time?
You will see from my language that I am a complete ignoramous on this topic.

You could also get a wi-fi (wireless) dongle and connect it to your pc/laptop and so share her connection.

Give more details about her router, your pc/laptop and your operating system.
