I had a problem recently where my computer was dialing my internet connection automaticly until i noticed I had disabled my home network connection. When enabled the problem with the internet connection stops but if I disable it, windows will automaticly connect my asdl modem to the internet. Can you tell me why this happens. Thank you...

Tools - Internet Options - Connections. Choose 'Never dial a connection'. This will stop it dialling itself but won't stop you when you want to go on line.

Hello Guys
Now I may be barking up the wrong tree here but is there a possibility you have become infected with a trojan that is trying to dial a premiuim rate number without your knowledge ?

My friend was stung with one og these and it cost (he thought he was downloading a Norton Anti Virus Upgrade)

Probably wrong but woth scanning your computer for any hidden nasties !
