Does anyone have any information on this subject. Someone I know, wants to access the internet from a mast in the Barrow in Furness area.

If you are talking about receiving a signal via an Aerial mast, I can only assume that it is linked to a decoder /modem to feed into his system, although personally I have not heard of it.

I know there has been trials, where you receive a signal via the mains (earth cable), could that be linked to it ?

Are you sure you do not mean WiFi access spots, of which there are many all over the place - some can be used free, others require payment.

Do you mean to connect a router antenna to it

i think the friend may well mean WiMax.
