I set up an internet connection on Win XP but when it connects it does not show the homepage or any internet page even though it is connected.

What does it do then?

It stays on the normal desktop with all the icons even though it is connected to the internet

Is it minimised to the taskbar?

I know with BB, if you have an ADSL modem, you can establish a connection without loading your browser. This would have the same effect as you describe.

Open Internet Explorer or whatever browser you have.
