IntelliClean Startup Succeed

  s99Raj 11:57 13 Apr 06

Every time I reboot my XP system, I get a window that says, "System Configuration Utility" in the title bar, and below that in the window, it says, "IntelliClean Startup Succeed". I click "OK", and msconfig starts. If I click on "OK" at the System Configuration Utility, another window comes up saying, "You have changed your settings", without me having changed anything.

I've tried "sfc /scannow" from the Run menu with my XP CD in the CD drive but that hasn't helped.

Any other suggestions please?

Have you installed Advanced Windows Care?

What's Advanced Windows Care?

I tried System Restore - didn't work.

I'll try going back further and see if it lets me.

Nope - no good. I just keep getting messages saying that my computer cannot be restored to any earlier date that I try.

Bloomin' Marvellous VoG !

I found, installed and ran the free program Advanced Windows Care, and it seems to have done the trick.

Thank you!

Oh! I thought Advanced Windows Care might have been the cause of the problem, not the solution. Oh well...
