I have a very old toshiba satellite 330cdt laptop that has a 32mg integrated memory chip. i am having problems finding the edo type mem that i need for it, i read that the edo type memory can be upgrade to a different type of mem as long as it is the same type, question, is it possible to deactivate the integrated memory so i can install a pc100/133 in it. or am i stuck with it. any help would be awsome. thank you. dsilvers

Whilst recaps link is what you need to buy - just to amplify a little - no you can't use any other type of RAM other than that specified for use in your system, and for whch the correct connector is provided in your system. Which of course is that shown on the Crucial page.
