installing xp home

ive never installed xp home on a desktop before and im planning to buy a desktop:

Pentium Dual Core E5400 Business PC 2.7GHz, 4GB DDR2, 750GB SATA HDD, DVDRW, NO O/S from ebuyer.

Does anyone know of a pdf step by step guide to installing windows xp home, from scratch.

And does anyone know of a pdf step by step guide to installing another cd drive and another harddrive into a desktop. Is the same as installing onto a notebook.

It is a lot easier to use an external hard drive than instal an extra hardrive. A lot safer too.

You can keep the external drive in a safe place when not in use for a start.

with these specs and to get best usage you may be better off installing Win 7

Just check on your warantee conditions before you open up the PC case and start installing extra drives.

Just follow the on screen instructions as they come up. I've recently done just this on a PC with no problems at all.
