I have just bought a windows XP disc which is a Dell disc but cannot install it as I keep getting the message "File nvrd32.sys could not be found" I am a complete novice and would be grateful for any help off all you clever people.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying jimv7. No I have a gateway computer but the disc was advertised that it can be installed on any computer

The file is an Nvidea Raid driver. You may have to copy the raid drivers to a floppy drive and install them via F6 during installation.

Bear in mind that the whole point of Windows Genuine Advantage is that the disc is sold for installation on one computer only. I think you may have wasted your money! Genuine XP is still available - (as an example from Google £35 for XP Pro click here although I know nothing about the company).
