installing pci usb2 x5 card

a friend has a 3 year old pc - it came with windows xp home, 1.4Ghz cpu, 256Mb ram, on board sound, but only 2 usb2 slots. mobo manual shows 1 agp slot and 5 pci slots.

he wants to add a 5 port usb2 pci card. Is it just a case of putting new pci card into pci slot on mobo and booting up - surely not that simple?? thought i'd check before he buys the card tomorrow.

Yes Xp should load drivers for it, If not check Device Manager for yellow marks uninstall these and load USB drivers that may be supplied
