Installing OSX on X86 Laptop

Hi. I have an old Dell laptop and I'm wondering how hard it is to install Tiger OSX on this laptop and to have it work fairly well.

I'm downloading a copy of tiger-x86.tar.bz2 which is the installation file.

Is it as easy are formatting the HD, burning the image to a DVD and then installing it from the DVD.

Its a Dell laptop. Will the original drivers still work ?

Thanks for all the help.
