Installing Norton Upgrades

Have just bought upgrade versions of NAV and Firewall 2005 (Currently running 2004 versions). Please does anyone know if the existing 2004 versions have to be removed first before installing 2005, or should they be left on so that the upgrade can be verified. This will mean installing over the top, which I am not too happy about. The booklet for the AV states that installation will remove older versions, but the Firewall book makes no mention of this. Cannot find anything about this on the Symantec site.

The upgrade packages require the previous install to be active on the PC in order to verify the licence.

Their should be no problem with just inserting the disks and following the instructions.
