Installing MSOffice 2003 over Access 2000

I currently run MS Office 2000 professional and want to upgrade to Office 2003. With my kids at school we can get the Student & Teacher version cheaply - but this does not have Access as part of the package. I don't really use Access much, but in the last few years have developed a few databases which I would like to continue using (home inventory, xmas card list address labels - that sort of thing). They took me time to develop and tehy do exactly what I want - so Im reluctant to lose them.

So my question is: if I install MS office 2003 Student & teacher (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint) is there any way of keeping my existing copy of Access 2000 running?

Thanks for your help....

I have exactly this set up. Access 2000 and the Student & Teacher version 2003. You should have no problems.

Thanks for the speedy response Woolwell. Can I ask if you just installed over the existing version of Office 2000 Professional, and after all was done, Access 200 remained there working? Or did you have to do anything special?

If I remember correctly I installed over previous version. Access 2000 still works fine. The only snag is that Office updates prompt for the 2000 updates still.

Like you I have Christmas card address labels in Access.

Should have said prompts for Office 2000 updates as well as 2003 updates.
