I have a Dell 8400 with XP. I have a external 2nd hard drive in an enclosure that says it has 19 GB of total space and 18.3 GB of freespace. When I go to install the Sims 2 game on it it says it has to put an additional 356 MB on my C drive. Why? The game requirements only say 3.5 GB or am I missing something here? I wanted to keep all my games on the other hard drive. PLMK Thanks

i belive the extra 365 meg is to do with registration and sims exchange which gives you the ability to upload and download custom content direct from the official sims site through the game

The Requirement is at least 3.5gig it is advisable to have more if you wish to install custom content and expansion packs if you choose to install them will need more
