Can any one recommend a card for an extra Hard Drive (non IDE) on the following mobo: MSI K7N2 Delta and advise if it is straightforward installation or of any pitfalls.

If it is not IDE what type of hard drive is it?

I should have explained that I want to connect it in addition to the IDE channels, which are all in use.

That is great - Is ther anything I need to know about setting it up I will probably be using it for a Maxtor 6Y080L0 Plus 9 Hard Drive 80gb 7200rpm UDMA133?

Just pop it in an empty slot and load the drivers from the floppy supplied with it.

On boot up you will see an additional entry which lists the four additional available IDE connections.

Another way is to use the drive as an external installed in a 'caddy' connected by USB
that way you have a 'portable file carrier'
and you can swap drives in and out of the caddy at will.
take a look at click here
