Go to start and click on 'Run'.
Type this in the box: msconfig and click OK
Click on the startup tab and look down the list to see if there's an entry for adobe. If there is, remove the tick and click on 'apply'.
Now restart your computer, and try to do the uninstall again. This may not be the answer, but uninstallers will often lock up if a program (or a component of it) has been loaded at startup.
